We have had a hectic/busy couple of weeks. It all started with Sarah getting sick. I took her to the doctor on a Thursday and was told it was a viral infection. The following Monday, I took her back because she wasn’t any better. They tested her for mononucleosis and it came back positive! The doctor also thought she might have a slight sinus infection, so they gave her some medicine. The doctor said keep her at home, make sure she gets plenty of rest and fluids.
During this week, we didn’t have water for a day, refrigerator stopped cooling and a vehicle started giving us problems. We got the water fixed and had someone to look at the fridge and said he had fixed it.
I took Sarah back the following Tuesday for a recheck. Doctor said she was doing fine and she just needed to take it easy. However, I had the doctor look at Claire while we were there. She had some bite marks on her and I wasn’t for sure what it was. After going through the list of possibilities he said he thought it was scabies. However, NO ONE else in the family has any thing on them! So, we kind of think that was a wrong diagnosis. I had to take Claire back to the doctor today because she had another rash come up. Turns out the poor child has 3 different things going on with her little body. He said it looked like the scabies were drying up and we could stop the cream treatment on her. However, the rash/bumps on her legs he said look like a bacterial infection and the rash on the rest of her body looked like a viral infection (something similar to scarlett fever, which she had a couple of months ago). So, he gave us an antibiotic to try and help us get rid of this stuff. In the process, for itching I am to rub her down with anti-itch cream.
Oh, the refrigerator has stopped cooling again, so I will be calling the repair guy tomorrow morning!
It has been like this off and on most of the summer with us. Mostly just the younger kids getting sick. On occasion Buddy and I have been sick, but nothing like lately.
God has been good to us. I really can’t complain. Things could be a lot worse. I just keep thinking, “this too shall pass.” And it will. God never gives us more than we can handle. I think sometimes he is pushing me to my limit (LOL!), but I get through it with HIS help.
I am very thankful for all my friends that have been here for me during this time also. God knows who to send or have call me when I need it most. If I don’t say it then, just know that I appreciate you so much! Thanks for all you do!
You are appreciated too. Keep your focus on the Lord and just hang on! (smile)
Hi Joy. Nice to see you're a blogger too. Visit me sometime so we can keep in touch. I like blogging so much more than facebook. Thanks so much for making the trip to mom's funeral.
Luv Ya Cuz.
