The kids signed a card for their daddy and a couple of the kids have even made him a home made card. They are so excited to be able to do something for their daddy on his special day. You can tell the kids really love their daddy. And why shouldn’t they! He is a wonderful daddy to them! He loves each of them unconditionally! He would give his life for each child if needed be! We do not really have special plans for the day. We will be going to church and then will come home and eat lunch. We will most likely just stay here at the house and just enjoy being with one another. I know that will be just fine for Buddy, because we will all be together and that is all that matters.

Father’s Day is difficult for me in some ways. I enjoy being able to help the kids celebrate the day for their dad. However, 2 years ago, a week after Father’s Day, I lost my dad to cancer. While I miss him a lot, I know he is with our Heavenly Father. His body is whole and he is pain free. So while I do miss talking with him daily, I know he is way better off in Heaven than here on this earth. Dad, just know that I love you and rejoice knowing that one day I will see you again. I love you!!

And Buddy, thank you for being a wonderful father to our children. You are the greatest and we love you so much!

I also do not want to every forget our Heavenly Father! He sacrificed so much for us by giving us his only son! Thank you!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
