Weekly Weigh-In

I had a very busy week last week and didn’t keep track of things like I should have. I didn’t drink my water and I didn’t make time to exercise. Other than being busy and not taking the time to do any of the above, it showed on the scales. I gained 2 lbs. No since in making excuses because I don’t have any, other than just not taking the time to do it.

What do I do now? I get back on the bandwagon and keep track daily of what I eat. I fill my water cup first thing of the morning and start drinking my water. I make time to exercise. Whether it is walking up/down my road, going to the park with the kids or riding the stationary bike in my basement. I need to move regardless of what it is.

I really have no excuse. I can do this. It is just a matter of wanting to do it and I *want* to do this. So expect different results next Monday!!

Wildlife in my own front yard…

Wildlife in my own front yard…

As most of you know, I live in the mountains. Not only do I get to enjoy the wonderful views of the mountains, I also get a glimpse of wildlife coming through my yard. This is the time of the year we will see turky, deer and even bears in our neighborhood. They are coming out from the deep mountain forest to the neighborhoods. They enjoy eating all the flowers blooming as well as the gardens that many are starting to plant. We are truly amazed and enjoy watching God’s handiwork.

Mountians on a Cloudy Day

Mountians on a Cloudy Day

I took these pictures last August. We were in the mountains picking blueberries for Samuel’s birthday. It was a cloudy and rainy day. However, I love the mountains no matter what the weather is. It is just as beautiful on a day like this as it is on a sunny day.

I am getting anxious to ride to the mountains this Spring. I haven’t been yet and I know the wildflowers are starting to bloom. We live about 10 minutes away from the Blue Ridge and around 20 minutes away from the Great Smoky National Park.

The pictures below were taken on the Blue Ridge around mile marker 434.
