Ever since I first started reading blogs, I wanted to have one of my own. Oh I thought I had plenty to talk about. I have plenty of subjects. First there is my family and then my children. I could also blog about homeschooling. Of course, I live in the best place, the mountains, I could always blog about that. I also have some hobbies that I could blog about like, my love of reading, using stamps and doing crafts. So, I set up a blog with Buddy’s help and I thought, here I go! I have plenty to say. Now, when I sit down to blog about something, I seem to have nothing to say!! LOL Go figure!! I read all sorts of blogs and find it amazing that others blog about the very things I mentioned above. My problem is putting those things that I love into words! How do they do it and on a daily basis!! So one of the things I am going to work on come the new year, is writing more on my blog. It should be fun to do! Hopefully you will enjoy it also!

Christmas Tree Decorated
Our Christmas Tree
Everyone year, we always go to a Christmas Tree Farm to choose our tree. We started this tradition may years ago. We always try to go the weekend after Thanksgiving, but sometimes we are in Florida and unable to do that. However, this year we spent our Thanksgiving in NC and were able to go to a wonderful Christmas tree farm not far from our house. It is owned by a wonderful family that homeschools in Glenville, NC.
Seeing the kids run on the mountainside looking at all the different size of trees is such a wonderful sight! Looking at each tree, deciding if it is too big, too small, too fat or too skinny! It has to be the perfect tree! The kids never fail and always choose just the right one for our family.
When we get home from choosing the tree, we always get it in the tree stand and let it sit for a couple of hours so the branches settle. Buddy and I then will put the lights on the tree. Once that is done, the kids have the honor of putting the ornaments on the tree. The excitement on their faces is pure joy. The ornaments may not be perfectly spaced out or even all over the tree, but they are put on with love and that is all that matters to me.
It is always a wonderful family day and I will treasure each year we do this.
