The Homeschool Village’s Garden Challenge Update!

The Homeschool Village’s Garden Challenge Update!

I am really behind on updating about our garden. I had planned on joining in with the Homeschool Village Garden Challenge. As you can see, I am 2 weeks late. Better late than never, right?

We use mostly big pots to plant our veggies in. We also have a little bit of space around the edge of our house. Just recently, my husband built a box that we have a few plants in. I don’t have a picture of it right now.
We have planted 5 different types of bell peppers, rosemary, thyme, oregano and sage.

We have also planted around 8 different types of tomatoes.

I also planted some okra, eggplant, squash and zucchini.  I am really excited about those veggies.  My kids and husband don’t like them, but I love to make a little veggie medley out of the veggies.  I am hoping the vegetables do well this year.  I would love to freeze some for the winter months.

We have also planted cucumbers, candy roasters, chives, onions and garlic.

I don’t have it pictures, but I even have 1 strawberry plant.  Not for sure if it will produce any fruit this year, but I am hoping it will at least give me one strawberry!

I am really excited about all the vegetables we have planted this year.  While I know I listed a lot of veggies, I am sure that is not all of them.  I plan on making a list of everything and hopefully get more pictures soon of each type of vegetable, fruit and herb we have planted.

My mouth is already watering, just thinking about what we will be eating in a month or so!

iFellowship Day – Psalm 62:1

iFellowship Day – Psalm 62:1

iFellowship

It has been too long since I have taken part in an iFellowship day. I made a commitment to Seeds of Faith by writing for them once a month and I feel like I have let them down by not even participating in the past few weeks of iFellowships. I am going to do my best to change that and continue to participate in this wonderful day.

I had started using iFellowship day, as a day to share a scripture that has touched or spoken to me the previous week. I am going to continue to do this and was so excited about my scripture for the week.

Psalm 62

My Soul Waits for God Alone

1 For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.

My soul belongs to God and Him alone. Know matter what, He is all I need.

Be sure to stop by and visit Seeds of Faith. You will enjoy reading the other blogs as I have.

Blessings!

Multitude Monday- Blessings #366-385

Multitude Monday- Blessings #366-385

God is so good. He constantly is giving. Every day, I have something I can be thankful for. Just waking up is more than enough. Knowing that God has given me another day with my family is wonderful. I have missed the last couple of weeks sharing what I am thankful for, and was determined not to miss it this week.

Take time and slow down to see all the little things God has done for you.

366. helping with the homeschool used curriculum sale.

367. being able to buy used currciulum to use with my children.

368. math tutor to help when we need it. (math sometimes intimidates me! LOL)

369. friends and family who support us in our homeschooling journey.

370. thankful to be able to stay at home with my children.

371. being able to attend a ladies retreat.

372. my awesome hubby watching over our children while I was away.

373. learning to forgive and let the past be the past.

374. the awesome ladies who organized the retreat.

375. the person who wrote our lessons for the retreat.

376. thankful for the 3 ladies who were in my group.

377. to be able to cry and release a lot of feelings.

378. the many laughs the ladies shared with one another.

379. being there for support for the ladies who needed someone to listen.

380. the scripture stone I picked from a baggies:

Psalm 62:1

1 For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.

381.  coming home to hugs and kisses from my children.

382.  laughter from my children, them telling me what they did with dad while I was gone.

383.  being told I was missed from my awesome husband.

384.  watching a movie and eating popcorn with the family after I got home.

385.  Celebrating my husband’s 40th birthday.
You can also take part in the Multitude Monday by visiting A Holy Experience.  What are you thankful for or what blessings have you received this week?  I would love to hear them!
