March 8th Weigh -In

What a week I have had! Between all the snow, the doctor appointments (for myself and my oldest son) and the beautiful spring weekend, I somehow another managed to keep track of my food. I was able to count calories and also log in my exercise for the week.

I am proud to say that I am down 4 lbs from last Monday. It takes a lot of work, but work I think is well worth it. While I know I won’t always lose that much in a week, I will take whatever I can get. I do believe I am off to a wonderful start.

It is so wonderful to have the support of friends and especially my family. They are behind me 100%.

I also found out this past week that I am vitamin D deficient as well as low on my B12. The doctor is giving me a prescription for Vitamin D and told me to take a B12 vitamin supplement. He told me that this is the main reason I have been feeling so tired and exhausted. I can’t wait to get some of my energy back!!

First Sign of Spring

First Sign of Spring

WOW! What a beautiful weekend we have had! The sun was shining, sky was so blue and best of all, the temp was in the mid 50’s. This is a big changed compared to what we have had the last couple of months. I do believe this was the first weekend in 2 months to where it was not snowing.

Needless to say, we took advantage of this gorgeous weekend. We got started on some early spring cleaning. We worked on the garage and then we tackled the basement. We took a lot off to our recycling center. The last time we drove up, the guys working started laughing!! LOL I think we blessed them with our drop offs on 4 different occasions yesterday! I am super proud of what Buddy and I were able to accomplish yesterday. Our older kids had the inside chores to do and did a great job taking care of Samuel and Claire and making sure everything was in order in the house. I am very proud of the work they did yesterday for me.

During one of the times we left for the recycling center, I noticed a yellow flower. To me, that definitely signals that spring is right around the corner. Enjoy our first look of Spring!
